Two drivers injured in Gananoque crash

GANANOQUE – A driver was seriously injured Saturday after a crash at a town intersection allegedly involving a drunk driver.

Emergency responders were at James Street and North Street around 4 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 6) for the two vehicle collision.

There was only a driver and no passengers in each vehicle, police said.

One was treated for minor injuries at Kingston General Hospital and released while the second driver was treated by paramedics for serious non life-threatening injuries. The second person remains in hospital for treatment.

A 20-year-old Gananoque man was arrested and charged with dangerous driving and two drunk driving related charges.

Police did not release his name.
