BROCKVILLE – City police were able to catch up with a porch pirate as he tried to make his getaway Wednesday afternoon.
A resident called police to say someone was prowling around their Park Street home and that the suspect looked like he had stolen a package. That’s because the man was opening up the parcel in their back yard.
Police later learned that a parcel, delivered to another Park Street home, had been swiped.
A 26-year-old man was arrested nearby. The man, who is facing theft and breach probation charges, is also linked to other thefts in the area, Brockville police said.
