PRESCOTT – Provincial police say a passenger has died of his injuries in hospital after Monday’s tour bus crash on Highway 401 near Prescott.
Grenville County O.P.P. say the 54-year-old man from China succumbed to his injuries.
Four more victims are still in grave condition in area hospitals after the bus collided with a rock cut along a stretch of the westbound lanes of the highway.
A section of Highway 401 between Prescott and Maitland was closed for most of late Monday afternoon and evening but has since reopened.
A police investigation is ongoing. According to CTV News, the driver told investigators the steering locked and wheels seized in the moments before the crash.
