BROCKVILLE – The job market may spring into action in the upcoming season, according to the latest employment survey.
Manpower is out with its employment outlook survey today (Tuesday) on hiring intentions for April through June.
For Brockville and area, 20 per cent of employers asked are planning to hire and 3 per cent plan to cut back staff.
A majority of them – 77 per cent – plan to keep things status quo.
The overall net outlook score of 12 per cent is the same as the last quarter and is 7 per cent higher than the same period (April-June) of 2017.
The hiring outlook is almost on par with the national average.
As for finding a job this spring, the best bets are in the public administration sector, according to Manpower.
