BROCKVILLE – Provincial police are drawing attention to a troubling issue – livestock getting loose on area roads.
It’s happened at least three times in the last two weeks.
Some wandering bulls on Kitley Line 8 in Elizabethtown-Kitley Township brought out the police last week. While they were there, a herd of goats also got loose.
There were problems with a loose pony on the road near Motts Mills and a herd of cattle on Kelly Road the week before.
Leeds County O.P.P. aren’t being sheepish about sending a message to livestock owners – it’s their responsibility to make sure animals are secure in their pens.
“Good fences make good neighbours!” the O.P.P. said.
