BROCKVILLE – A man from the Ottawa area is facing charges after a city hotel employee was roughed up Sunday night.
Police were called to the Holiday Inn Express on Kent Boulevard last night for the report a worker had been assaulted in the hallway.
According to the victim, the accused has become “agitated and (was) causing a scene at the front lobby area.” That’s when the victim was struck, police said.
A 33-year-old Ottawa-area man has been charged with assault.
Police say the man, who was drunk, was also on probation at the time and it facing a further breach charge.
The hotel employee did not require medical treatment, police said.
