MALLORYTOWN – Leeds County O.P.P. officers seized eight vehicles over the weekend for excessive speeding.
Most of the vehicles were stopped between Friday and Sunday (Sept. 8-10) on Highway 401 but there was one driver caught on Highway 15.
The highest recorded speed was a driver from Kingston, clocked on Sunday at 66 kilometers over the speed limit
In all cases, the drivers had their licences suspended for a week and their vehicles impounded for seven days under Ontario’s street racing law.
They also have court dates in Brockville.
