LANSDOWNE – It didn’t take long into the month of September for provincial police in Leeds to impound their first vehicle – about four hours in fact.
Officers clocked a westbound car on Highway 401 in Leeds and the Thousand Islands Township going over 162 kilometers an hour just before 4 a.m. today (Friday).
A 20-year-old Brampton, Ont. man had his vehicle towed and car impounded for a week under Ontario’s street racing law.
He also has a future court date in Brockville.
