BROCKVILLE – An organization dedicated to empowering women has raised over $10,000 for local programs and workshops in Leeds-Grenville.
Girls Incorporated of Upper Canada announced the fundraising total today (Tuesday) following its Strong, Smart and Bold Women of the Year event last week (June 1).
Five women were recognized during the event for being community leaders. They are Sue Watts, Jane Dargie, Carol Casselman, Mary Rae Knapp and Kelly McKinnon.
The event was held at the Brockville Convention Center.
