BROCKVILLE – A retired financial broker from Gananoque has donated $100,000 to the Brockville Cardiovascular Program at Brockville General Hospital.
Jack Keyes started his “pay it forward” plan after receiving medical care at BGH six years ago.
The latest donation of $100,000 to the cardiovascular program has been the latest in a series of donations since 2011.
To date over $225,000 has come through the doors to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation from the Keyes.
Executive Director Joan Simon says Jack Keyes “epitomizes what a true philanthropist is.”
The Brockville Cardiovascular Program – which started in 2009 and costs about $181,000 a year to run – takes in referred patients for 4-12 weeks where they receive exercise, nutrition and other education.
