PRESCOTT – An O.P.P. drug enforcement team, as well as local officers, carried out two busts in Prescott and Augusta Township over a period of five days.
The first drug bust by the Community Drug Action Team on Friday (April 21) at a home on County Road 26 in Augusta, saw officers seize 116 marijuana plants, worth about $20,000.
A couple in their 50s from Augusta Township are facing drug production and possession charges.
Then on Wednesday (April 26), officers swooped in on a house on Churchill Road East, seizing marijuana, cannabis resin, psilocybin (magic mushrooms), cocaine and cash.
A 35-year-old Prescott woman is facing seven drug-related charges (six possession and one production charge).
Both cases will be heard in a Brockville court June 2.
