Watershed returning to normal: CRCA

KINGSTON – While water levels are still high, the conservation authority overseeing a portion of Leeds-Grenville says water levels are returning to seasonal normals.

The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority issued a flood watch statement Wednesday (April 18), which is in effect through Friday.

It says widespread flooding is not expected based on current conditions.

But water levels on some major lakes, like Charleston, Opinicon and Cranberry Lakes, are “exceptionally high”.
