KEMPTVILLE – A suspect has been arrested in connection to an armed robbery of a convenience store and gas station in Kemptville last month.
Reilly Grootjans, 25, of Kemptville was picked up by police yesterday (March 2) and charged with armed robbery, wearing a disguise with intent to commit a robbery and possession of property obtained by crime.
Provincial police had been called to the Quickie and Pioneer Gas Bar on Rideau Street around 2 a.m. on Feb. 16, 2017.
A masked man with a knife had went into the store and robbed it of cigarettes, cash and lottery tickets.
No one was injured in the robbery.
Grootjans will appear in a Brockville court Monday (March 6).
