BROCKVILLE – A Brockville woman is facing a fraud charge after a stolen cheque was cashed at a local ATM.
The victim – another Brockville woman – went to police after noticing unusual activity on her bank account when she was buying something.
After doing some digging, the victim found out a personal cheque had been written on her account.
Using this information provided to Brockville police, authorities were able to identity the suspect and a 34-year-old Brockville woman was arrested late Tuesday afternoon.
She has been charged with fraud and will next appear in court on Mar. 17, 2017.
