ELGIN – A scary moment but fortunately no injuries for a bunch of students after their school bus collided with a car in Rideau Lakes Township.
The crash happened at the intersection of Highway 15 and County Road 8 around 3:30 p.m. Monday.
There were 19 students on the bus, operated by Howard Bus Service, the O.P.P. said.

This is the latest in a series of collisions this school year involving school buses in Leeds County.
In December, a Howard Bus Service school bus ended up on the ditch on Opinicon Road in Rideau Lakes. There were no injuries in that case.
In October, a school bus and a farm tractor collided on a dirt road near Addison, flipping the bus on its side, leading to some bumps and bruises for children on the bus.
