BROCKVILLE – The Brockville hospital’s cardiovascular rehab program (BCP) has received $8,100 from the 1000 Islands chapter of the 100 Women Who Care.

The philanthropic group randomly picks three nominees and then, through a voting process by women who put $100 into the donation pot, one is chosen.

The process happens four times a year at the Brockville Country Club.

Robyn Houle nominated and spoke about the importance of the BCP, where she has been treated through nine cardiac interventions and two heart bypasses – the first when she was 34 years old.
