SOUTH DUNDAS – The township has abruptly cut off traffic to a couple of bridges “indefinitely” due to safety concerns.

The bridge on South Branch Road, south of Gilmour Road, and a bridge on Devries Road, south of County Road 5, were closed Friday.

Public Works Director Chris Bazinet said the bridges don’t have a high volume of traffic.

How the township plans to handle the structural problems is not known.
