Arrest made in double armed robbery at Brockville Mac’s

BROCKVILLE – City police have made an arrest in connection with two cases of armed robbery at a Brockville convenience store over the weekend.

The 28-year-old Brockville man was arrested Monday afternoon after he had been spotted by an off-duty officer in the north end of the city.

The accused has been charged and will be appearing in a city courtroom today.

Police are not releasing any more details due to the ongoing investigation.

The name of the accused will not be released either, according to Brockville police policy.

The Mac’s Milk at 250 King Street West was robbed by a knife-wielding suspect around 3:30 a.m. Saturday and then again just before midnight Monday (11:56 p.m. Sunday).

In both cases, the male perpetrator had a shirt pulled up over his face and pulled a knife, threatening a store employee, before getting away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
