KEMPTVILLE – Talk about a payoff during lunch!

Robert Turcotte was checking his Lotto Max ticket during his lunch break at work when he realized he had won $100,000 on Encore.

He had matched six of the seven winning numbers in the July 22, 2016 draw.

“I started matching up the Encore numbers one by one and couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” Turcotte said while picking up his prize in Toronto.

He then shared the news with his coworkers.

“We didn’t know how much I had won, so my coworker checked the amount online. He was very quiet for a minute and then turned to me and said, ‘Rob, I think you won $100,000!’” Turcotte said.

He also won $2 on another line of numbers, bringing his haul to $100,002.

Rob plans to pay off his mortgage and bills with the windfall.

The winning ticket was bought at Drummond Fuels on Perth Street in Richmond.
