Update: The section of County Road 2 reopened just before noon Thursday.
PRESCOTT – A section of County Road 2, east of Maitland, is closed this morning (Thursday) after a deadly early morning rollover.
Grenville County O.P.P. say their officers and other emergency crews were called to the single motor vehicle crash around 2:30 a.m.
By the time they got there, the Volvo hatchback was engulfed in fire.
Police say two people died at the scene though their identities are not known at this time.
A section of County Road 2, from County Road 15 to Blue Church Road, is closed and detours are in place.
Investigators say the vehicle was travelling east at the time and are looking to speak to anyone who may know the victims.
