BROCKVILLE – The body pulled from the water under a diving dock at St. Lawrence Park was a woman, city police said Wednesday.
Emergency crews had been called to the dock in the western outskirts of the city Saturday (July 30) after a diver had reportedly made the shocking discovery.
An autopsy conducted in Ottawa yesterday (Tuesday) concluded there was no foul play.
The victim is an adult woman and DNA samples have been sent to the Center for Forensic Sciences in Toronto to confirm her identity.
The Brockville Police Service still has an outstanding missing persons case after Katherine Millins, 63, disappeared July 24, 2016 while walking on the Brock Trail near the waterfront.
Police have not linked the two cases.
