Four EV charging stations slated for Leeds-Grenville

BROCKVILLE – The provincial government has identified four locations in Leeds-Grenville – two of them in Brockville – for future electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.

The locations were unveiled Wednesday as part of a $20 million roll out of 250 locations across the province, through a series of public and private sector partnerships.

The Brockville locations are:

  • Tim Hortons, 77 William Street, Level 3 charging station
  • McDonald’s, 2454 Parkedale Avenue, Level 3 charging station

The Gas Bar in Johnstown is the third site and the fourth is the TSC at 2966 County Road 43 in Kemptville.

All of the locations are Level 3 or “fast” chargers allow quick charging of most electric vehicles in as little as a half-hour, according to CAA.

The entire network should be online by the end of March 2017.
