Missing parked car now treated as stolen: police

(Newswatch Group/File)

BROCKVILLE – After more than a week of not being able to find a missing car from the 1000 Islands Regatta, police are now treating the case as a stolen vehicle.

As Brockville Newswatch first told you, a woman from Quebec had paid someone $5 so she could park her 2013 silver Mazda 3 in their driveway while she watched the races.

But after the event, she couldn’t find the car nor could she remember where she had left it.

“The vehicle has now been added to police systems as stolen,” the Brockville Police Service said in a release Tuesday.

Any Canadian police officer who pulls up the plate on their computer system – Quebec tag K63 FQE – it will now show up as missing from Brockville.
