PRESCOTT – A tow truck driver is credited with catching a drunk driver Friday night on a major freeway in Grenville County.
This, after the driver ran out of gas and called for a tow.
But when the tow truck driver showed up on Highway 416 in Edwardsburgh-Cardinal Township, the operator quickly realized the driver was drunk and called police.
A 50-year-old Ottawa man was arrested and charged with care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired and care and control while have over 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood stream.
He will appear in a Brockville court next month.
