BROCKVILLE – One woman’s impromptu parking plan for the 1000 Islands Regatta appears to have backfired.
Brockville police say the woman from Quebec paid someone $5 so she could park her 2013 Mazda 3 in the driveway of a home while she watched the boat races.
But the 71-year-old woman wasn’t able to find the home where the car is parked – or the car itself for that matter.
The woman still had the keys for the vehicle but she simply can’t remember where she would have parked, police said.
Officers have been searching for the silver Mazda 3, which has a Quebec licence plate of K63FQE.
The woman left the keys with police and went back to Quebec by taxi.
