Third round of sex charges for Rockport man

ROCKPORT – Provincial police have laid a third round of sex-related charges in their historical sexual assault investigation against a Leeds County man.

Ronald Huck, 72, of Rockport, Ont. was arrested Tuesday, May 31, 2016 and charged with one count of rape, one count of sexual intercourse with a female under 14, one count of indecent assault on a female, four counts of indecent assault on a male and four counts of cross indecency.

These 11 charges are in addition to the six charges laid on April 28, 2016 and the initial eight charges during his arrest on April 12, 2016.

Police say the accused is facing a total of 25 separate historical sexual offences in relation to 13 victims, who were 12-17 years old at the time.

The crimes are alleged to have happened in Leeds County and Ottawa between the 1960s and 2000 when Huck was a teacher.

He appeared for a bail hearing yesterday (June 1) and his matter on all the charges has been scheduled for June 24, 2016 in Brockville.

Huck, who had been the chairman of the 1000 Islands Community Development Corporation, resigned in early April after his initial arrest.
