GANANOQUE – You could say thrill-seeking runs in the family.

Provincial police stopped a speeding driver on the Thousand Islands Parkway Monday night.

The driver – an 18-year-old girl – is accused of going 66 kilometers an hour over the speed limit.

No sooner had police finished with charging her, when her 20-year-old brother was stopped for stunt driving about 20 minutes later.

He was accused of performing “a stunt incident where he caused his tires to lose traction on County Road 2.”

Both drivers had their licences suspended and vehicles impounded for a week under Ontario’s Street Racing Law.

The Gananoque siblings will appear in court next month and July.
