PRESCOTT – Provincial police believe thieves with a large truck or multiple vehicles were behind the theft of construction equipment, west of Prescott.
Grenville County O.P.P. say someone broke into a locked storage bay at a commercial building at County Road 2 and Merwin Lane in Augusta Township sometime overnight Thursday (May 12).
The thieves got away with numerous tools including a Vanmark 2 Aluminum Break, a Rigid miter saw with stand, a Rigid table saw, a MK Industries tile saw, two generators and a chainsaw.
“Due to the large size and weight of the stolen property, it is believed the suspects were operating a large vehicle or multiple vehicles possibly with a trailer,” police said.
Anyone with information if asked to call their local police department or Crime Stoppers.
