BROCKVILLE – Four children who suffer from various medical illnesses will find out a special experience is coming their way in just over a week.

The Brockville Police Association will make presentations Monday, May 16, 2016 at Commonwealth Public School for two children, St. John Bosco Catholic School for one child and the final presentation will be made at St. Mary Catholic High School.

The Brockville Police Association has helped, on average, one child and their family a year and it was hoped they would be able to help four children this year through the Cops Care for Kids program.

They will deliver on that goal a week from Monday.

The fundraising has been due in part to former police officer Surinder Gill, who left policing to open his business – Captain George’s Fish and Chips on Park Street. He opened his restaurant to the BPA earlier this year for some fundraising dinners.

The children were picked through a nomination process earlier this year.
