‘Safety Without Borders’ weekend for O.P.P.

SMITHS FALLS, Ont. – Provincial police are targeting the so-called “fatal four” this Easter long weekend on highways across Eastern Ontario.

Local O.P.P. and Eastern Region traffic teams and conducting a safety campaign called “Safety Without Borders,” along Highway 401 from the Quebec border to Gananoque, Highway 416 and Highway 417 from the Quebec border to Hawkesbury.

If you’re heading south of the border this weekend, American police are also beefing up enforcement as they look for drunk, speeding and aggressive drivers and those not buckling up.
