BROCKVILLE – The regional health agency will hold a public meeting next week to get public feedback on proposed changes to the Ontario health care system.
The discussion paper released in mid-December by the Ontario government is called Patients First: A Proposal to Strengthen Patience Centred Healthcare.
Among the changes, it would see the South East LHIN and other 13 LHINs take responsibility for home care and planning and monitoring of primary care.
The LHINs would work with health care providers to improve access to care.
The meeting is being held Feb. 9 from 6-8 p.m. at the Brockville General Hospital Auditorium (75 Charles Street) and you need to register for the event.
This will be the only public forum in Leeds-Grenville as the other meetings are in Kingston, Belleville and Perth.
An online survey is also available until Feb. 26 at the South East LHIN website.
