BROCKVILLE – A national travel booking website has given the City of the 1000 Islands the nod as one of the places for tourists to put on their destination list.
Brockville was named in Expedia’s travel blog on the “10 Canadian Cities You Must Visit in 2016.”
The article calls the list of attractions “extensive and exciting.”
Brockville is buddies in the list with Tofino, B.C., Jasper, Alta., Regina, Sask., Kingston, Halifax, N.S., Alma, N.B., Quebec City, Que., and St. John’s, Nfld.
Those in the city’s economic development are said to be excited with the news and expect it to have a great impact on the local tourism industry.
