Violent Gananoque workplace fight leads to charges

GANANOQUE ā€“ A violent confrontation at a workplace has led to charges for a Gananoque man.

Town police were called to a business on King Street just after 4 p.m. yesterday (Dec. 31).

According to investigators, it started out with an exchange to words and quickly escalated to the man rushing the woman with a large kitchen knife.

The fight was broken up by a third person at the scene before the police arrived.

The 51-year-old is charged with assault with a weapon, failing to comply with court conditions of his release on bail.
