Update 3 p.m. Monday: Environment Canada has dropped the weather statement for Leeds-Grenville, but points north including Smiths Falls, Lanark and Perth are still under the advisory.
BROCKVILLE – Get ready for some possible freezing rain tomorrow (Tuesday).
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement Monday morning for possible freezing rain starting Tuesday morning.
While Leeds-Grenville is under the advisory, the weather agency said it’s more likely to happen in the area of Hawkesbury to Ottawa and northwest to Pembroke.
“Travel may become difficult at times due to slippery roads and walkways. Motorists should consider allowing extra time to reach their destination,” the agency said.
The temperature is expected to drop to minus seven tonight (Monday) before the rain or drizzle starts Tuesday. Tuesday’s high is plus two.
