
BROCKVILLE – The Brockville Memorial Center will be stepping back in time, oh, about 65 years!
The United Way of Leeds and Grenville will be hosting its annual Docs’ & Diamonds Gala on Nov. 27 at 7 p.m.
The theme this year is Nifty 50’s.
People, wearing everything from poodle skirts to penny loafers, will be dancing the night away to support the UW campaign.
“We are very pleased to have such a great line up planned for our ticket holders this year” said Melissa McCabe, event chair.
“Guests will have the opportunity to dance to the musical talent’s of Healy & Orr, have their photos taken in the photo booth, eat some tasty hors d’oeurves, bid on items at the silent auction such as one week stay in vacation homes,” she said.
Tickets are still available for $50 with a $25 tax receipt by going to the United Way office at 42 George Street for by calling 613-342-8889.
The United Way of Leeds and Grenville supports 22 member agencies.
This year’s goal is reflecting the number of lives changed as opposed to a dollar figure. This year’s lives goal is 33,102.
