BROCKVILLE – Make sure you get all the Thanksgiving trimmings before Monday because there are a number of closures on Thanksgiving Monday. Many banks, government offices and retail offices will be closed. Here’s a list of other services affected:
Government and Retail
- The City of Brockville, United Counties of Leeds-Grenville, township and municipal offices will be closed. All offices reopen Tuesday morning.
- 1000 Islands Mall is closed Monday.
- LCBO outlets and Beer Store locations are closed Monday.
- Most retail stores, including the Brockville Walmart, will be closed Monday.
Health Care
- Brockville General Hospital out-patient services won’t be available Monday. The ER will remain open 24 hours and in-patient services are not affected.
Garbage & Recycling
- There is no garbage or recycling pickup on Monday in Brockville. Your pickup day will be delayed by a day next week.
Transit
- Brockville Transit does not run on Sundays for statutory holidays.
Recreation
- The Brockville YMCA will have programming from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Monday.
Libraries
- The Brockville Public Library is closed Sunday and Monday.
- Library branches in Leeds-Grenville are closed.
