LEEDS-GRENVILLE – As you’re celebrating the last official long weekend of summer, you will find a number of things closed on Labour Day Monday.
Municipal offices including the City of Brockville are closed, as well as banks and government offices.
Some grocery stores, like the Metro on King Street West and the Walmart Supercenter, are open.
Canada Post offices are closed and there will be no mail delivery.
All LCBO stores, with the exception of some agency stores, will be closed and all Beer Store locations are shuttered.
The 1000 Islands Mall is also closed but reopens 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
The Brockville Public Library is closed today (Sunday) as well as the Labour Day Monday.
There will be no garbage or recycling collection on Monday in Brockville and your pickup day this week will be a day later than your normal collection day. A reminder, there’s a municipal household special waste depot day on Saturday (Sept. 12) at the Brockville Centennial Youth Arena.
Brockville Para and Conventional Transit is also not running.
Have a great weekend from all of us at Brockville Newswatch.
