IROQUOIS – Location is everything.
So what better place than the village’s beach to be a backdrop to see future plans for the waterfront.
Members of the Iroquois Waterfront Development Committee will be showing off the concept plans for the revitalization of the waterfront today (Friday) and Saturday from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Large poster-sized concept drawings will be set up at the Iroquois beach both days and the canteen will be running during that time.
The so-called Iroquois Commons waterfront plan has a price tag of nearly $4.8 million.
The first priority in the plan, developed by Mark Thompson Brandt Architect of Ottawa, is to fix up the beach and nearly double its size.
The plan was shown to council in early June and has been on the municipal website since that time.
