ELGIN – A woman from Rideau Lakes Township is facing charges after a bank robbery here on Tuesday.
Leeds County O.P.P. say a woman walked into the Bank of Montreal branch around 3 p.m. and showed an “edged weapon” and demanded money.
Police did not say whether the suspect got any money before trying to make her escape.
The suspect, 59, from Rideau Lakes Township was arrested without incident.
She is being held for a bail hearing in a Brockville court today.
