Brockville sweats, but no records set

BROCKVILLE – While Wednesday was a sweltering day in Leeds-Grenville, the hot weather didn’t set any records.

Environment Canada told Brockville Newswatch the mercury hit 29.7 – not close enough to break the record of 33.9 set on July 29 in 1959

Meanwhile in Ottawa, it was the highest temperature in over a century where it hit 34 degrees, breaking the record of 33.3 in 1949 and 1959.
