COVID-19 Ontario Update: December 4, 2021

As of 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Public Health Ontario reported another 1,053** cases of COVID-19 (VAX: 469 none, 25 partial, 499 full, 60 unknown), bringing the total to 622,313. That’s a 0.2 per cent increase in total cases since Friday. Of those, 604,749 are resolved (97.2 per cent) and 10,024 people have died (eight more than Friday; seven new deaths and one old case from data-cleanup).

There are 284 people in hospital (all hospitals reporting), 160 in the ICU and 98 on a ventilator. The number of tests performed is 19,926,197 (36,268 more than Friday) and results are pending for 14,863.

Ontario has administered 23,913,372 vaccine doses (80,898 more than Friday), 11,288,025 fully vaccinated.

**Peel (59), Toronto (139), York Region (54) and Ottawa (69) account for 321 of today’s cases.
