Man threatens to shoot up Brockville courthouse

BROCKVILLE – A man in his early 20s is facing charges after making threats to shoot up the Brockville courthouse.

Brockville police said the accused was “unhappy with the court process” and mentioned he would be going to get an AK-47 and coming back to the 41 Court House Square building to “shoot the place up.”

The threat happened on Friday.

With a photo in hand, officers were able to ID the man and arrested him.

The 23-year-old was held for a bail hearing and charged with uttering threats and breach of probation.

His name was not released.
