BROCKVILLE — With freezing rain expected to hit parts of Eastern Ontario and the Ottawa Valley by noon or mid-afternoon, school buses have been cancelled across Leeds-Grenville.

All school buses across the district for the Upper Canada District School Board and the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario have been cancelled.

The French transportation consortium has also cancelled buses for Brockville, Merrickville and Kemptville.

The schools remain open for those who can get to school.

This is “snow day” number nine so far this 2017-18 school year.

While there isn’t a freezing rain warning for Leeds-Grenville, areas to the north and east of the region are under the weather bulletin with freezing rain expected to start around noon.
