Potential flooding in Leeds-Grenville

KINGSTON – With up to 50 millimeters (2 inches) of rain by Wednesday, the region’s conservation authority has stepped up its warning about potential flooding.

The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority says water managers are going to be controlling dams to handle the increased water and snow melt.

While localized flooding is low-lying areas may be possible, the agency says widespread flooding is not expected.

The CRCA is urging people to be careful around bodies of water.
