GANANOQUE – But the police were right there!
A couple of men from Quebec – upset they were accused of excessive speeding – got on their cell phones Sunday and dialed 911.
It happened on Highway 401, east of Gananoque, where provincial police say the 20- and 44-year-olds were incensed when the tow trucks showed up.
Both were accused of driving in tandem at 154 kilometers an hour on Sunday morning (Nov 26).
Under Ontario law, drivers caught going 50 kilometers an hour over the speed limit or more will have their vehicles impounded and driver’s licences suspended – both for a week.
Police also remind you that 911 is for real emergencies.
