BROCKVILLE – City police are urging people to protect themselves as a rash of break-ins in midtown Brockville continue.

The latest case happened Thursday (Oct. 5) when a homeowner on Salisbury Avenue thought at first that someone had nabbed some small change from his garage.

He later found that a bunch of power tools were also gone and reported it to police.

The Brockville Police Service is asking you to make sure all your doors and windows are locked and that garages and sheds are well lit to deter thieves.

Brockville officers reported at least three break-ins at Bartholomew Street addresses in mid-September.

They were able to collect some forensic evidence in those cases.
