BROCKVILLE – City police are hoping you may be able to identify a robbery suspect after a clerk was threatened with a knife for a couple of packs of cigarettes.

It happened just before 11:30 p.m. Friday at the Mac’s at 250 King Street West.

According to investigators, the suspect asked for two packs of smokes and then the man took them from the counter and walked toward the exit.

When the clerk told him he had to pay, the man turned and flashed a knife at the clerk, before walking east on King Street, police said.

The man is described as white, in his 20s, about six feet tall with stubble on his face.

He was dressed mostly in black — baseball cap, hoodie, coat and shoes. He had blue jeans and was wearing glasses.

The suspect was also carrying a black backpack, said to maybe have a white handle.

If you have any information on the suspect you’re asked to call the Brockville Police Service at 613-342-0127.
