Police chase in downtown Brockville
BROCKVILLE ā A Brockville-area man is facing a number of charges after leading city police on a high speed chase Friday night.
Officers tried to pull over a vehicle for several traffic violations in the city center around 9:20 p.m. when the driver took off very quickly, going through a set of traffic lights, police said.
Police were able to catch the driver after he mistakenly turned down a dead end street.
The man attempted to flee but was quickly arrested.
The unidentified 57-year-old man is charged with dangerous driving, flight from police and was also given a 30 day driver’s licence suspension.
