BROCKVILLE – Social media posts circulating about a couple suffering from an overdose with one of them dying at hospital are not true, Brockville police said Thursday.
The police service said they received a phone call yesterday morning (Wednesday) about the Facebook post.
The post claimed a 39-year-old man and his 34-year-old girlfriend had OD’d from street drugs and the man was rumoured to have died at Brockville General Hospital.
“The Brockville Police Service can confirm those reports are false.”
The police actually spoke with the couple in questions, who were find and had no idea where the reports came from.
