Vandals start fire in Brockville Memorial Center bathroom

BROCKVILLE – Two teenagers have been given trespass notices for the Brockville Memorial Center.

But staff at the facility are left to clean up the damage, including a broken partition wall and damage from a small fire inside a set of bathrooms near the ball diamonds.

Brockville police were called Wednesday morning when staff found the broken wall and fire damage.

The next morning (today at 8:45 a.m.), staff caught two boys, ages 16 and 17, coming out of the damaged bathroom.

Staff wondered how they got entry since the door was locked, police said.

That’s when the youths were served with the trespassing citations.
